This is probably a privately printed report on the historical development and financial condition of the various rail lines in San Francisco. The author provides discussion on the Geary Street, Potrero Ave., and Union Street rail lines. Martin reports a profit of $216, 541.25 for the year ending December 31, 1914. He seems to suggest that San Francisco is a pioneer in terms of municipal ownership of rapid transit lines, and that they have been very successful at it.
