A set of what are apparently scribal notes to lectures with extensive additional hip notes throughout in the hand of a student who has signed the last leaf. There are two subjects. A brief 18 page section devoted to blood letting followed by a lengthy, highly detailed exposition of the problems and cures for inflammation. The notes are identified by a spine label that reads : Buffalini / Salasso / E / Flogosi. M Buffalini was Italy's leading clinician in the period between 1830 and 1865. A lecturer of some renown he was also responsible for re-directing medical study in Italy on absolute scientific principles and clinical experience. Hirsch I, 761-762.
