In Planches de Salut, Marcoussis pays homage some of his favorite writers, Baudelaire, Dostoyevsky, Rimbaud, Shakespeare, Gerard de Nerval, and Apollinaire. Marcoussis was born in Warsaw, Poland and educated at the University of Cracow. He emigrated to Paris in 1901 where he joined the Bande Picasso, The Cubists in 1910 and exhibited with the Section d'or in 1912. Contained in a lovely contemporary blue linen clam shell box with a printed label.
