The author elaborates on his theory that the US, President Woodrow Wilson, and the Government were betrayed and lured into participating in WWI by Edward Mandell House. Colonel House was an American diplomat, politician, and presidential advisor. He spent a large portion of his time in Europe, trying to broker peace to end WWI initially and later changing his views and insisting that President Wilson ought to help France and England win an Allied victory. In 1919 Woodrow Wilson lost his confidence in House and "relegating him to the sidelines.
