A folio measuring 14" by 9 1/2" with map end sheets. In a very good+ glassine dust jacket with a 1" closed tear over the spine area. The book and its jacket are contained within a fine black, paper covered slip case. One of only 2,000 copies printed, this copy noted as number 881 on the last page of text whereon the illustrator and book designer have signed their names. 150 pages of text illustrated with four color plates and drawings by Geoffrey C. Ingleton and with an introduction by Alan Villiers. The full title reads: "A Voyage to the South Seas Undertaken by Command of His majesty for the purpose of conveying the Bread-Fruit Tree to the West Indies in His Majesty's Ship Bounty commanded by Lieutenant William Bligh including an account of the Mutiny on board the said ship and the subsequent voyage of part of the crew in the ship's boat from Tofoa, one of the Friendly Islands, to Timor, a Dutch Settlement in the East Indies."
