Ornately blocked morocco, gilt-stamped lettering on spine, a. e. g., with two metal clasps; contains 38 early photographs (mostly albumens, but including a few silver gelatin and one tin-type) in heavy cardstock leaves with cut-out "frames," images visible on both recto and verso. One empty frame. In remarkably nice condition -- just a little scuffing at spine tips. All photographs are crisp and clean, nicely composed and exposed. Includes portaits of men and women, young and old -- with one image of a small boy.
