Anita Loos and John Emerson collaborated on many film projects in the 20s, including a film adaptation of Loos’ stage play Gentlemen Prefer Blondes as well as helping to launch the acting career of Douglas Fairbanks in a series of films (1916-17) written by Loos and directed by Emerson.
