Hollywood: 1 page (7 3/4 x 5 5/8 in.; 191 x 144 mm), June 10, 1945. An excellent letter written to “Dear Mr. Dooley”; on his personal letterhead, soiled, some marginal tears. Regarding a clipping bureau mix-up: “...I am sorry that you have to keep opening all those envelopes and finding nothing but Benchley items. One of these days you may find one telling about the man I killed and hid in the top floor where they used to keep the pornographic prints (kindness of Langdon Warner). If you do, and take the bother to look him up, kick him in the ashes for me. A sinister man, he was ...” Some dust soiling, some general wear with some strenghtening on verso. (Inventory #: 12606J)
