In the letter Veiller formally acknowledges the payment of funds to John Huston for his uncredited writing interest in the screenplay The Stranger. The letter is creased from folding, else very good. A Photographic Copy of an Original Typed Contract Selling the Rights of the Film The Stranger, to be Produced as a Photoplay by Anthony Veiller. Veiller bought the rights to write the photoplay edition which was later published by Hollywood Publications. The contract has white text on a black background, 3 pages, is stapled at top edge, else fine. The Stranger was a mystery film directed by Orson Welles in which Welles plays a Nazi war criminal who comes to America and marries Loretta Young, hiding his past until exposed by Edward G. Robinson.
