Collection of 13 newspapers, Vol. XVIII, numbers 898, 899, 901, 903, 904, 905, 906, 908, 910 (number torn off), 911, 912, 913, and 914. Folder, folio sheets (each page 22" x 15"0, all 4 pp. Some staining and foxing, normal aging, some margin chips and tears, signature in upper margin of some copies, some creasing; otherwise in very good shape.
While not a consistent run, this set has most issues between June 19, 1826 and October 8, 1826. These newspapers are filled with local and state news, and a fair amount of advertising. There is some interesting information on state laws, from how beef exports were to be regulated, to how U.S. Congressmen were to be elected. Notices about school openings, and public auctions are also included. (Inventory #: 100996)
