Presents the Spanish text and English translation of one of the oldest manuscripts in an Upper California Indian tongue. The Elements of Christian Doctrine, the Form for Confession, etc. was written by Fray Juan Cortés in 1798 in the Indian dialect most frequently spoken at the mission, with an accompanying Spanish translation.
