A well-researched biography of this San Francisco businessman and entrepreneur, Isaiah Churchill Woods, who had the misfortune to be associated with Adams and Company when it collapsed during the panic of 1855. Inscribed and SIGNED by the author. Also signed by Ruth Teiser, to whom the book was dedicated, on the dedication page. Also with a full page original illustration in pen by Marjorie Reed, of a stagecoach and horses, inscribed and signed by her.
