by [Keokuk Industrial Association]
[Keokuk, Iowa, 1918. Quarto, 4pp + original printed wrappers [institutional stamps, several edge chips]. Text and wrappers loose. Good+. The Keokuk Industrial Association urges establishment of a railroad line from Logansport to Peoria and Keokuk, via the Pennsylvania Railroad and the Toledo, Peoria, & Western Railroad; and then through Missouri and Iowa to Omaha or Lincoln, Nebraska, via the Keokuk & Western Division of the CB&Q, and the Wabash or Burlington Line. "The line contemplated from Logansport to Omaha is much shorter than the through lines from the East or Pittsburg, Pennsylvania, than the other routes further north or south." The strategic nature of Keokuk in the Nation's commercial system is emphasized. Rare, OCLC locating only a single microform copy. FIRST EDITION. OCLC 26115243 [Microform copy only, at Northwestern U. Transp. Library]. (Inventory #: 19575)
