FACTS FOR THE LABORING MAN: BY A LABORING MAN
1840 · Newport, R.I.
by [Hazard, T.R.]
Newport, R.I., 1840. 102pp, stitched. Minor soil. Very Good. Signed 'Narragansett,' this piece was written by T.R. Hazard, according to Sabin, who notes that it "contains many facts relative to the early history of manufactories in Rhode Island." Bartlett says the same thing. From a Whig perspective it argues, in a series of articles which originally appeared in the Newport Herald, that the economic policies of the Jackson and Van Buren administrations have been disastrous. FIRST EDITION. Sabin 23623, 31111. Bartlett 148. AI 40-3036 [5]. (Inventory #: 11116)
