A landmark in 19th century otology. Hirsch is effusive in his comments about Kramer and this book citing it as a work that established the subject. It is worth noting that this revised edition is virtually a new book with the addition of 400 pages more than the first printing and completely revised. See G-M #3367 citing the first edition (1835).
