By Zeitlin, Solomon
Philadelphia: The Dropsie College for Hebrew, 1956. First edition. Softcover. g. Quarto. XVI, [2], 154pp (Text), [10]pp (Plates). Original printed wrappers with publisher's logo on front cover and title page. Remarkable work in which the author argues strenuously - on philological grounds - that the antiquity of the Dead Sea Scrolls should be rejected. Subsequent carbon-14 tests on their linen wrappers firmly dated the finds to the late Second Temple Period and laid to rest arguments concerning the antiquity of the scrolls. Wrappers rubbed and slightly sunned along edges. Wraps in overall fair, interior in very good condition.
