Morgan Alabama." On the card is written "1900" discreetly at the bottom left edge. John Tyler Morgan (1824-1907). Born in Athens, McMinn County, Tennessee. Democrat. Delegate to Alabama secession convention in 1861. General in the Confederate Army during the Civil War. Delegate to Democratic National Convention from Alabama in 1876. U.S. Senator from Alabama during 1877-1907 (died in office). Civil War General, Confederate, Autograph. An attractive example of this (truncated)
