Boston (Ticknor and Fields), 1860.. lviii, (2), 363, (1)pp. Frontis. Sm. 4to. Publishers buckram (dull). Loosely inserted: autograph note, signed (1 f., sm. 4to.) from Leslie to Redgrave, dated Hotel Brighton, Nov. 8th 1855. Many thanks for your kind attention in sending me the ticket. I trust we shall soon meet either in the Louvre, or among the modern pictures.... This is very probably the painter Richard Redgrave (1804-1876), and may well refer to the Paris Universal Exhibition of 1855, where Redgrave (together with Henry Cole) organized the British Section. Light wear. (Inventory #: B19586-1)
