From the library of Sergei Diaghileff -- a Russian art critic, patron, ballet impresario and founder of the Ballets Russes -- with his ownership stamps on prelims and terminals. Spine tips and corners a bit frayed; front hinge cracked, but holding; text block extremely brittle, with FFEP, original front wrap, and front flyleaf detached, laid-in. A fragile volume, but rare, especially with such an interesting provenance.
