A detailed statement comparing John Worth and Abraham Rencher as candidates for an upcoming election for a United States congressional seat, opposing Rencher who won election in 1840 after having served previously, 1829-1839. Rencher (1798-1883) later served as Minister to Portugal, 1843-1847, and as Governor of New Mexico, 1857-1861. Hummel 1506 (North Carolina only).
