Oakland, 1992. Leafet printed on one side, 8.5 x 10 inches, mild wear at corners, leaflet prints a headline from 19 August 1992 Oakland Tribune newspaper announcing that Lucky Markets guilty of "widespread sex discrimination", union bug at bottom. The early 1990s were a rough time for Lucky Markets. There were two Teamsters strikes and a federal judge found the chain guilty of sex discrimination. Leaflet calls for a boycott based on the chain's efforts to cut wages and benefits during contract netotiations. May have been produced by the Teamsters or United Food and Commercial Workers, or by union supporters for women's rights. (Inventory #: 172039)
