Philadelphia, 1833. Pages 10-13 [as issued], disbound, with dove of peace at head of title; pages 14-17 [as issued], disbound. Good+.
Two numbers in Carey's series, each evidently issued separately and one week apart, explaining to his recalcitrant southern brethren the merits of protectionism. Each is addressed 'To the Citizens of the Southern States,' and -- despite the offering of an Olive Branch, after the Nullification struggle-- each calls southern opposition to tariffs "disgraceful," "selfish," "virulent," and "destructive."
OCLC 191238814 [2], 191238815 [2] [each held by AAS and NYHS] [as of October 2012].
