There is a small damp stain at the foot of the spine, and there is a 7 inch long light blue colored pencil mark on the front board. The pages are actually quite clean and bright. Number 5 of 299 copies. Signed by the author/illustrator on the limitation page. Ward's second work is a visual tale of man's quest for power, and the inevitability of death. A masterpiece from one of the giants of twentieth century illustration.
