Per the French colophon at the back where each volume is individually numbered it states: . a. "Ce catalogue a ete imprime a 1100 ex. a savoir: 50 ex. sur velin fin blanc d'Arches numerotes de I a L" . b. "1000 ex sur velin fin blanc numerotes de 1 a 1000" . c. "50 ex. H.C. reserves aux collaborateurs" . The first and last variants of 50 copies each were given to the museum staff and the collaborators. . The 1000 numbered copies were the one and only variants sold by the museum to the general public. The variants from a. & c. above were never sold on the open market and remain obscure. .
