Part 1: Portrait, biography and 70 games played in England, Ireland and Holland; selected annotated and illustrated by the late W E K Pollock before his death in 1896. Includes, in all, 145 games, 8 end games, and 4 problems. Part 2: A selection of games played in the United States and Canada, including his matches with Eugene Delmar, Jackson Showalter and G H D Gossip; end games, problems and items of interest from the British Chess Magazine and the Dublin Evening Mail, connected with the chess career of Pollock.

Condition:

Corners bumped, spine ends and corners rubbed, some staining to cover. Over all about a very good copy issued with jacket.
