A very fine copy. A very bright copy of General King's work, with illustrations by Frederic Remington and Edwin Willard Deming. A government surveyor suspects that Nanette, known at Fort Frayne as the "daughter of the Sioux" is giving information about the fort's defenses to the Indians. Nanette turns out to be a white child stolen long ago by the Sioux. Intrigue, love, etc. A pretty good story..
