Nice exhibition broadside, 20 1/2 x 13 1/2 inches, employing many sizes and styles of type, including several nice display types, the entire text enclosed within a wide ornamental border. An attractive broadside prospectus for the periodical, describing its regular contents and sales terms, offering cash and other premiums for subscription gathering, and printing three testimonials from enthusiastic readers in New Jersey, New York, and Connecticut. The Northern Farmer was published in Utica, New York, 1854-1861. This broadside unrecorded on OCLC (which shows the American Antiquarian Society holding a broadside from 1856 advertising this periodical and two others).
