Some light wrinkling along covers and edges of text block (untrimmed); spine chipped; first gathering neatly detached (title-page up to page 14). A bit fragile, but overall in remarkably nice, bright condition, and particularly scarce in its original binding. Nielsen 322.

Contains "The Story of the Year", "The World's Fairest Rose", "A Picture from the Ramparts", "On Judgement Day", "It's Quite True", "The Swan's Nest", and "A Good Humour." It was followed by a second collection in November of the same year.
