Zell's Descriptive Hand Atlas of the World.

Small folio (13 1/4" x 10"), leather spine and corners with cloth, gilt title on top cover and spine, illustrated with 35 colored maps. Top cover and front endpaper are detached, spine torn and mostly detached from book block, some wear and scuffing to spine and extremities, slight aging and darkening, a little corner staining, but generally bright and clean internally. While Zell's maps don't have the decorative style of other map makers of this period, they are attractive and technically quite good. The double page map of the United States is nicely done.
