Mason, engineer and surveyor. Original blind-decorated brown cloth, gilt-lettered on spine. Provenance: Robert O. Fuller (pencil inscription on front flyleaf, he is listed on p.115). FIRST EDITION of this ninth Cambridge Directory, which opens with a calendar and then provides a complete listing of commercial, religious, governmental, and individual names, occupations, and addresses. 11-pages advertisements at front (3 on blue paper) and 19-pages advertisements at end (3 on blue paper). Including advertisements for L.H. Hales, Photographers -- "Daguerreotypes, Photographs, and Glass Pictures" -- and Harvard Block on Harvard Square. A fine copy with contemporary Cambridge provenance: R.O. Fuller, whose ownership inscription records his address at 40 Auburn St, is listred on page 115 as working at Gay, Manson & Co. at the corner of Fulton and Cross, and living at 40 Auburn near Pearl. The company is identified as a dealer in iron on p.149. Not in Sabin.
