Engraved bookplate of Sir William Davies, Baronet, 1704, and Sir Henry Bedincfeld, Baronet of Oxburch. Miege (1644-1718) was a native of Lausanne and settled in London in 1661 where he became under-secretary to the Earl of Carlisle, who was ambassador to Sweden, Russia and Denmark.
