First edition; 6 x 6 3/4; pp. 6, tri-folded; beige stock printed in blue and red; illustrated; few very mild spots; very good to near fine. An announcement for a book show at the Emporium's Book Department and a short preview of some of the books, published by the Macmillan Company, which would be offered at the show. The Emporium was a department store chain headquartered in San Francisco which stayed in operation for 99 years - from 1896 to 1995. The store had a thriving book department which would periodically announce contests (for illustrations, for poetry, etc.) or in this case - a show where newly-published books for various age groups could be revealed to children. Some of the books included “Blaze and the Gypsies,†“The Magic Show Book,†and “Tales from Dickens.â€
