[Norfolk, VA?]: The board, 1894. Broadside printed on thin, pliant card stock, 11 1/4 x 8 1/2 inches, the head in bold all caps. Most of the regulations deal with the creation of obstacles to public travel, repairing damage, maintenance, etc. (e.g., "No person shall be allowed to fasten a cow or other stock on or near the roadside in such a manner, that the rope, chain, or other fastening may, at any time, be extended on the road"). Not recorded on OCLC. Good copy only of a fragile, late 19th century broadside dealing with road management, a remarkable survival. Paper very browned and brittle, especially at the edges (large chip to upper corner crudely replaced, long horizontal tear rather crudely repaired, both flaws damaging text, but taking only a small portion of one letter, some other edgewear and light chipping); unrelated pencil notes on verso. (#7123).
