Boldly signed by Tommy Dorsey on a folded cloth napkin of the Adam Springs Hotel in California where the big bands played, booze flowed even under prohibition and gambling was wide open until 1949. Besides Tommy Dorsey, Harry James, Xavier Cugat, Freedy Martin, and others played at their large outdoor dance pavilion. The bar and restaurant were opened around the clock which made it a favorite rendezvous location for celebrities.
