An interesting biographical sourcebook, containing eulogies for Massillon, Despréaux, l'Abbé de Saint-Pierre, Bossuet, l'Abbé de Dangeau, M. de Sacy, de la Motte, Fénelon, l'Abbé de Choisy, Crébillon, Président Rose, and others. Followed by a dialogue between Descartes and Queen Christina of Sweden, a note on that dialogue, a note on the statue of Voltaire, and discourses on prizes given by the French Academy in 1771 and 1772.
