In this book, he looks at the behavior of a number of fictional characters (Agenor,"petit maitre, étourdi, sans jugement"; Elvire, "fille d'une grande vertu, & qui fait par cela même tant d'[honneur à son sexe"; Utime, "homme à qui l'ambition à tourne la `tête"; etc.) in order to discuss good and bad conduct.
