An issue of a magazine, published by a landmark institution in the San Francisco Bay Area and one of the premier fine arts and design schools in the United States, it contains articles and news on events, happenings, and students and members of the faculty. The university was established in 1907 under the name School of the California Guild of Arts and Crafts, renamed in 1908 to California School of Arts and Crafts, renamed again in 1936 to California College of Arts and Crafts, and finally in 2003 it received its current name of California College of the Arts. The founder, Frederick Heinrich Wilhelm Meyer (1872 – 1961), was an art educator and one of the most prominent figures in the Arts and Crafts Movement in the Bay Area.
