II through VI with illustrated title pages, Vol IV with frontispiece photograph. Volumes V & VI with Spanish and Yiddish, all other volumes with English and Yiddish title pages with Main text in Yiddish in two columns. Laid in the art section of the Jewish Daily "Forward" with numerous photographs, e.g. Theodor Herzl, Albert Einstein, a section of the audience celebrating the international labor holiday in New York's Hippodrome in 1939 and many others. Volume I with block loose, attached only at title page with some fraying at head and tail of spine; rubbed. Volume II with light fraying at head and tail of spine; rubbed. All others with light wear along edges, light bumps and rubbing. Binding of volume I in fair, all others good+ to very good, interior in good+ to very good condition. The most comprehensive biographic and encyclopedic reference work on Yiddish Theatre. Scarce complete set.
