Venetiss: [Berlin: Government Publication, 1915]. Quarto. 328 pp. Map of an overview of Belgiumwith red and blue lines, Black and white map at the end of the book of Louvain. Since the outbreak of world war one, a wild national struggle against the German troops broke out in Belgium, which respresnets a flagrant violation of international law and has had the most serious consequences for the Belgium country and Volt. This battle was dominated by the most violent passions raged throughout the entire advance of the German army through Belgium. When the Belgium army retreated, the civilian people of all ages took up arms to try and stop the German advance; workers, factory owners, doctors, teachers and even children. The conduct of the war by the Belgian civilian population was completely incompatible with the generally recognized rules of internations law. This work is a compilation of those laws. Bound in printed wraps, short tears to upper and lower joints some toning and finger smudges to edges. A very good copy.
