New York: Morris & Willis, 1844. First complete edition. Hardcover. Good and tight, free of extraneous marks but with foxing to most page edges. Bumps to corners and wear to cover edges.. Marbled brown boards with quarter leather and gilt lettering. Decorative end papers. Bound by R. Hathaway, Bennington, New Hampshire. 216 pp. with no illus. 139 letters written by Willis and originally published in the New York Mirror to much severe criticism.
