Rockefeller, William Rockefeller, and Henry M. Flagler "conceived the purpose of controlling the petroleum trade, both domestic and export, and obtaining a monopoly thereof [and] entered into a conspiracy which from time to time took the form of various combinations..." Monopolies, secret rates, price-cutting, etc. Some things never change!
