First Edition of one of Mallarme's earliest appearances in print. Mallarme's need to make a living resulted in this educational work, which he translated into French from two English books on mythology by George W. Cox. Mallarmé produced his translation while teaching high school in Paris at Fontanes, now the Lycée Condorcet. Spine sun faded, otherwise fine, uncommon thus.
