Norman: University of Oklahoma Press, 1968 First edition. xiii [1] 287pp. Frontispiece portrait, numerous photographs, 2 maps. Index. Light blue cloth. Minor darkening to upper edge of front cover, else a fine copy. Murray became a part of the political history of Oklahoma and Texas. He was lawyer, President of the Constitutional Convention, Speaker of the House, Governor of Oklahoma during the depression, etc. He was an "Agrarian" and wrote that the only way to save the country was the extension of the family farm. Basically, this work details Murray's frustrated but absolutely determined efforts to preserve agricultural America as it existed in the nineteenth century.. (Inventory #: 7755)
