Half gilt-ruled green morocco and green cloth, gilt-stamped lettering and ornament in spine compartments (5 raised bands), a.e.g.; complete set of 2 volumes, 8vo; pp. xviii, 320; 304; with 20 hand-colored steel-engraved plates (10 in each volume), numerous wood-engraved illustrations in text; collates complete. Spines sunned; boards lightly rubbed; corners a little scuffed. Internally bright and clean, with plates in excellent condition, colors remain true. Armorial bookplate of George Burnham Wells on front paste-down of Volume 1. A handsome set.
