Each map details streets, notable buildings, wards, railroads, canals, reservoirs, creeks and rivers. A few small tears to edges. From the 1857 edition of Colton's Atlas, the only edition of the atlas that appeared without the trademark border. The Colton family was one the most prolific and successful publishers of maps and atlases in the United States. J.H. Colton (1800-1893) founded his business in NYC in 1831. (Inventory #: 266141)
