Letters from Yorick to Eliza

Modern binding to style in full deep teal morocco, spine in 5 compartments with raised bands, gilt, black leather lettering label, gilt.

Elizabeth Draper met Sterne in 1766 in England but returned home to India in 1767. The letters were discovered after Setene's death, and in 1774 Draper authorized their publication. Her letters to Sterne were never published, although forgeries were issued in 1775.
