The Second Edition of Bull’s Defense of the Faith from the Writings of the Catholic Doctors, first published three years earlier in 1685. George Bull was the Bishop of St. David’s, and devoted himself to ecclesiastical history. Bound in vellum; the title page has an attractive copperplate vignette of the Sir Christopher Wren’s Sheldonian Theater in Oxford, which was completed a couple of decades before this printing. Very Good binding.
