Flint Institute of Arts / General Motors Corporation, 1964. Softcover. VG. Gold stapled paper wraps, 16 pp., 20+ BW illus. Issued in conjunction with a 1964 exhibition to promote color consciousness in both art and design. The exhibition checklist cites 40 pieces of art, and five are pictured here. The other half of the booklet looks at "Color in Industry," as in the line of 1964 Buicks; and "Color in the home," as in a selection of mid-century modern accessories. The grand irony here is that the entire publication is filled with black-and-white illustrations. Guess the color was "coming."
