Small 8vo, pp. xvi, 171, [1]; 7 engraved plates; contemporary speckled calf, gilt border, smooth gilt-decorated spine laid out in 6 compartments, black morocco label in 1, gilt turn-ins, marbled endpapers; gilt on spine worn, very good. Armorial bookplate of Westport House and signature of Louisa Catherine Altamont, an ancestor of Princess Diana, on endpaper. The Foulis brothers rarely included illustrations in their productions. This is one of the few exceptions. Gaskell 537.
