n.p. [Philadelphia?]: L. L. Chapman, 1857. Very Good. 4-page leaflet.19cm. Disbound (removed from a bound volume). Stitch marks, etc. along left side. No separate wrapper present. Chapman appears to have believed that sickness, eathquakes, storms, etc. were caused by excess electricity resulting from currents of light that struck the earth at particular angles from other bodies in our solar system. Chapman also wrote a book titled "Principia, or Nature's Full Principles " in which this odd theory may have been explained in greater detail. (Inventory #: 85838)
